It's NOT Live on PSN and never was to begin with; it's primary selling point is a premium discount service, yet people are still complaining about a lack of features.
LBP and Wipeout was free - depending on your territory though.

They've been doing this with other PS Stores for quite some time now. I think it's a good way to reach out to the community, just as long as they don't do it constantly.
I've managed to play and beat games that others would consider mediocre like Bionic Commando, but haven't been able to beat games like Mass Effect even after putting 10+ hours into it, so it's not like I played it for 10 seconds and put it to the side. I think ME is a better game in this example, but for some reason I don't find it that interesting to keep playing.
Picked this up for $12 (initially purchased it for 360 for $9 at Sam's Club, but traded it in for Demon's Souls when my gamesave mysteriously vanished) and ironically it was on Microsoft's own service, GFWL. Too bad these prices are so high on Xbox Live. I could understand if it was the GOTY edition but it is not.

From what I remember, on very, very rare occasions.
I remember purchasing Tales of Vesperia from GameStop as brand new and actually watched the employee pack up the game with the manual and disc, and then seal it up. Whats up with that? And they left that shitty sticker on it that said "New". I also remember purchasing The Club on PC and it didn't come with a serial key. I had to reach out to Sega, take pictures of my receipt, and send it to them to get a serial key. However, I'd blame both Sega and GameStop for that issue - ...
I remember about 5 years ago I had purchased The Sims on Xbox 1 from Walmart and absolutely hated the game. Since Walmart didn't exchange opened copies for a refund, I returned it for an sealed copy, took it to GameStop, and used it as in-store credit to purchase another $50 game (back then, they would give you full store credit for any sealed game).
KZ3, from what I have seen, has improved in visuals (better textures, MLAA incorporated, larger scale, co-op etc) and has still managed to implement 3D without making sacrifices to the 2D visuals.

To add to that, the development period has been substantially shorter than KZ2 despite GG having to optimize their engine to support 3D natively. I think the addition of 3D in Unc...
Luckily, I don't think they do expansions for the crossovers, but with Capcom's recent whining about poor sales you might be right.
The 2D sprites mixed with the 3D backgrounds looks dumb in MVC2. Maybe they'll give us the option to change the "drawing style" like they did in the PC version of SFIV. I was obsessed with 2D sprites but 2.5D is starting to grow on me and I think MCV3 is one of the best looking fighting games because of it.
Once you figure out their pattern that is.
