D!ck
Still no Dead Rising 2 god i want a sequel to that SOOOOOOOOOOO BAD, and am i the only 360 owner who hates Ninja Gaiden.
Apart from PS3 owners, which is completly understandable as PS3 games are released on the BD format. Why does anyone care which format wins, it’s going to be some time before BD/HD-DVD can overturn standard DVD, and by that time won't digital downloads become more prominent.
surely If anyone wants to experience High definition they would just purchase a Hybrid BD/HD-DVD player.
Can someone please shed a light on why anyone cares which format wins.
I don’t care which version is slightly better, there’s only thing that makes one version superior over the other and that’s ACHIEVEMENTS.

I’ve herd all this before with PES 2008 it was supposed to have a smother frame rate / superior controls and look what happen their, it’s better to wait until the final product is released to pass judgment.
You answered your own argument you D!ck,
People what to play games plain and simple. You can rant about technology and innovation all day, but as proven with PS2 / XBOX generation, having the most power system means nothing without games to play.
And as for Sony’s innovation, yeah it takes real innovation to rip off other people (Wiiremote / sixaxis, Xbox Live / PSN).
If Mass Effect is better than Uncharted then that’s cool, I’ve played the uncharted demo on my cousins PS3 and it seems like a really good game (although the main character seems to float when he jumps)
I own a 360 and don’t plan on getting a PS3, but even I can concede that the PS3 probably has more power, the trouble is with so many games being multi-format your only really going to see any kind of difference in exclusive titles.
But if you’re saying the choice is going to be games that look like:
Heavenly Sword
GT 5
Uncharted
Or games that look like:
Mass Effect
Bioshock
PGR 4
Then...
@goodganja44 -
That’s funny because didn’t Phil Harrison once say Sony was "unlikely" to offer two versions of PS3, and that XBOX 360 has create confusion for consumers with two versions of the systems. http://www.gamesindustry.bi...
And how can you say Microsoft is a reactive when all Fony seem to do is look what’s out there any and copy it, Sixaxes anyone.
...
I go where the games are
I can’t believe people aren’t buying games for their swanky new Blue ray player, do they know they can actually play games on it, with such an impressive game line-up on shelf’s already like:
The orange box
Timeshift
Medal of Honour Airborne
The Simpson’s game
Stranglehold
And at £49.99 per game that’s a steal at ONLY £10.00 or £15.00 more than XBOX 360. And what with great casual games like Dance revolution (sorry 360) ...
Isn’t this the point of a price cut, its only news if they can sustain these current sales,
That's funny because i've had my 360 since launch and it's not broken, also if your talking about framerate have you seen Pro Evo 2008 on PS3 it's unplayable (where as the 360 is smooth).
this series is just a poor man's Jack and Daxter.
Its Simple =
If you want to play a good game get Splinter Cell
If you you want to watch about "10 HOURS" worth of cut scenes and about 3 hours of actual gameplay get MGS4
and then tossed it away like the piece of crap it was.
also If you JUST want a gaming console buy a 360
If you want more, get a PC
It's that simple
In reply to Makroyale you do realise that the jump from VHS to DVD was possible on a standard TV as apposed to purchasing and expensive HDTV. If you would have read my comment properly you would of realised I was talking about the average person. And yes I have seen an HD-DVD and I still think nobody cares, nobody is going to spend the additional cost just to get a sharper picture in my OPINION. So stop making retarded comments
i have a 42inc samsung HDTV, and a standard dvd player with a HDMI connection(the player only cost £19.97 from asda) and my movies look fantastic. my point is why would anyone pay £25.00 for a Blu ray / HD DVD film when you can get the same film for between £8.00 - £12.00 on standard DVD. The average user is not going to notice the same difference in quality they got with the VHS to DVD jump.
And even if the players come down to a affordable price you still ...
