These are October NPD numbers.

BF3 came out in the last week of the month.

Meaning BF3 sold approximately 2 million in North America alone in one full week, helping EA to their most successful launch ever.

If that equals failure then most games would be happy to fail that hard.

I think they are good numbers for bf3. What people keep forgetting is bf3 is a core gsme mw3 is not and there are more none core than core in the world.

I also think if ea had shown bf3 on the 360 rather than the ps3 it would of sold a few more as fps games tend to sell better on the 360 than the ps3.

But i expect bf3 to sell around 5 to 7 million in its life which is not bad at all only a few games sell more than 5 million and they are halo gt cod and mario games plus a fee more but is is a selection of game that do.

Is there no company that tracks world-wide sales, having the US only is useless.

BF3 made some great sales, even if MW3 sold more. BF3 got a more realistic feel to it compared to the arcade MW3.

I bought the 2 games for my PS3 and I tried letting my friends try both games. the majority of them prefered MW3 over BF3 mainly because MW3 is more user friendly than BF3. most of them said that BF3 was too much real and wasn't run and gun enough.

EA made an official announcement, that sales 'estimate' of BF3 for a week is near 5 million. And now it turns out it is actually only 2 million? Obviously another lie from EA, like using high end PC to market BF3's graphical prowess that is not true for consoles, saying they're taking a big pie of the COD market and trash talking COD all year long.
MW3 sales 6.5M first day US and UK alone, a week of sales will double this number, so BF3 turns out like BC2, that is NOT on the league as COD.

Why are they so reluctant to create a new Bad Company??

Definitely agree with the title. If they make Bad Company 3 then that would definitely be a step in the right direction!

BF3? They need to go back to BF2 for the mainline. Heck, I'd settle for true-to-source remakes of BF2 and BC2 (w/ Vietnam). Everything they've done in the 'modern' era is just bad.

I've not played 2042 myself but after v I don't feel like it. I played a few hours of v with friends but it feels ultra sterile I can't figure it out but the game looks and feels clinical. The storys in the campaign were also bland and uninteresting and felt like a dull trudge through checkpoints as you waited for an ending.

I've played the franchise dating back to it's original PC launch and PS2 spin off games I did enjoy 1 overall and it's take on placing you in different scenarios and battles was interesting but not all that good imo as you couldn't really connect with any characters longer than 2 hours.

hardline for all the hate it recived was a fun story and a new take but a bad mp game

I feel like v overall was the turning point and instead of showing the gritty reality of war they turned everything sterile and presented it in a clean cut boring frame in order to pump it full of weird micro transactions overall they spent far to much time on trying to implant ray tracing and other graphical flourishes and forgot to make the game enjoyable

I mean thats all we've wanted since BF4 but they keep doing everything we don't want.
