SFL Chronicle: I’ve already done this one, but as I wrote the original list, about a million more overrated games came to mind. This overrated list will probably be the last one I write, at least for a while, because if I sat here and wrote about every single game I found to be overrated then I’d probably never stop typing. But these five immediately came to mind as I wrote out the previous list. If my last article on overrated games angered you then prepare to NERDRAGE as I go down my list of most overrated games ever for the second time.
The alleged God of War game that is said to be set in the Greek mythology is rumored to have had its release postponed to the year 2026.
no surprise... this gen has been 'almost' a total wash for Sony. They has been shifting games to 26. Probably to pad out the eventual release of the PS6, which is also rumored for 26/27.

Maybe their first crossgen game between PS6 and PS5?
I´m also expecting Cory´s new game to be crossgen at this point, while GT8 to be their first true next gen only game at launch.

Everything will be cross generations. There won't be many games which will be just next generation only. As we move forward tech isn't going to give a huge jump when it comes to consoles. So why cut off part of your install base whom are easier consumers to target
We still see games being released on PS4. Sony might be looking at finishing strong going into PS6 with a lot of momentum. In 2026/2027

ps6 has never been rumored for 26. lol. where do you get your 'facts' ? this gow game has not been announced either so no one expected a release in 25.
I'll be surprised if PS6 is out before 2028, gens get longer and longer and they've no need to rush it with most of their first party yet to reveal their PS5 titles.

Even if this game exists it obviously never had a 2025 release date since we're halfway through the year and it hasn't even been announced yet.
Man, I wish we could go back to the hood ol’ days of God of War. I totally understand the craft and talent that went into the modern version, but I found them incredibly boring. I love the spectacle and unapologetic visceral and energy of the originals. They were shocking, brutal, and completely bad-ass. Wish we could get back to those days.

Tom Henderson and Jeff Grubb suggest a 2.5D Metroidvania-style God of War spin-off is in development, set in Greece before Kratos becomes a god.
And not in a good way! GOW 2018 was not what I was expecting either, and it blew me away! However this is like a popcorn fart in church.
I wouldn't mind playing that, I'm guessing somewhat in the vein of Prince Of Persia:TLC but hopefully with better graphics.
2.5D can be done in many different ways. It could be as simple as a size scrolling game with 3D backgrounds
🤔 Interesting. Nothing wrong with switching it up to a different genre of game for a side project. Hope they don't try to do that to a main entry.

I agree with that list wholeheartedly. But the people on this site won't accept that GOW3 is numero uno on that list.
It depends why you think the games are overrated
never played halo 2 was pretty addicted to halo 3 multiplayer and I here that was what made number 2 If this is the case Its not really overated If people are giving props to its story on the other hand I think thats overated halo seems to have a good story the thing is the actually story telling is rubbish

I dont think is overated at all this game is no halo in terms of sales hype etc and it pushed the stealth genre In the right direct when MGS seemed to disepear Its just lacking that WOW story

Halo is top of this list overrated for me...
so Halo gets more credit than it rightfully deserves.If fans of Halo tried other first person shooters though, I’m sure they would see the franchise is lacking in comparison to other shooting franchises..
