EA just hosted its quarterly financial conference call, and its executives have been asked to comment about the recent price hikes for games.
Today, Electronic Arts announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2025, alongside the full year.
Split Fiction has sold nearly 4 million copies, and the next battlefield is confirmed for a release by March 2026 with a reveal this Summer.
In addition to the roughly 100 job cuts IGN reported earlier today at Respawn Entertainment, EA has made wider cuts across its organization today, impacting around 300 individuals total including those already reported at Respawn.
Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....
This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.
Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
I wouldn't go so far as to say it's capabilities have been surpassed. It's just the way Sony allocated the memory for the PS3 which is why there is no cross game chat. Poor decision on Sony's part TBH but at least they've learnt from their mistake and fixed it in the PSV.
Are we supposed to be surprised by the Vita's increased capabilities? I don't get it. 2005 tech vs 2011 tech. With both systems playing nice together, what's the problem? As far as cross game chat, 5yrs of not having it should've been a sign. I do think it's possible and think it will make a late appearance as an app. Similar to what what done with the text chat rooms.
Vita doesn't have the Cell CPU...
I think
Its a car crash because there is no viable market for it. It will sell a few million to the hardcore but no casual gamer (the large majority of handheld gamers) is gong to choose Vita over an iPhone or an Android smart phone.
Give it a year and you will see what I mean.
@Below
Seriously guys stop living in the past. There WAS a portable market back in the day with the DS/PSP but things have changed you just have to look at what happened with the 3DS. All I know is you fanboys will be eating your words, just because Sony made it doesn't mean it will succeed and deep down you all know that as well.
I for 1 love the idea of the new handheld and the specs match the price
