Yeah, Kojima's just going to confirm the existence of MGS5 in a podcast, right, Andriasang?

I'm buying a 3DS this june!! These games are enough reason for me to buy the system this year :D

As for MGS5, if Kojima said he won't announce the game, he wont announce the game. No means No. "No Comment" on the other hand, would have given some hope ;)

Oh well, at least we'll get lots of info on MGS Rising... which I am really looking forward to :D

He's not announcing MGS5. It doesn't mean he's not announcing another MGS games.

There's probably Peace Walker on PS3 or maybe even a new MGS title.

Andriasang didn't do the interview, the guys on the KP Report podcast did it. But I agree, big fail on the questions but I think the exclusion of certain questions that could have seemed like more obvious ones to ask than some of those that they did was surely intentional to keep people guessing.

I want it to be metal gear rebirth to fall in line with the other games in the "rebirth" series for the wii.

That and/or the original metal gear solid trilogy in HD on bluray for ps3.

Far cry that it be MGS4 ported to 360 after all this time but lol if it was. I gave up waiting and got a ps3 to play it.

Answering yes to "will you announce MGS5", would be effectively announcing MGS5, except it would be for a crappy podcast instead of an awesome venue like E3!

thats my NGP sale out the window till a MGS game come out for it. only bought the PSP for its catalogue of metal gear titles. oh and my ps1 classic of metal gear solid from my psn account.

I really feel that Metal Gear Solid has had it's story told. I may be alone in thinking this but if true, I'm kinda glad there won't be a mgs5. I'd rather see the great man do something else.

And that last proper console MGS is still amazing and fun.We have Rising coming sometime soon too from which Kojima is executive producer. MGS is not the only franchise Hideo Kojima can develop.. We need to let his creative genius flow... create a new Ip maybe... or revive his old franchises such as ZOE or Policenauts...this MGS5 Rumor is like 2 years old. If anything give us a Metal Gear Solid 4 substance in which there is a lot of new content and redesigned online play or MGSPW ON THE PS3.... Kojima does not just have to Metal Gear all the time... give him a break...

Ascalon, that's exactly what I picked up from this. They have something to announce, and it's not Metal Gear Solid 5. You would figure that if they're going to do another MGS right now, that would be the one to do.

They have something else up their sleeves. And it's not going to be announced in a Microsoft press conference. If it's not Policenauts/Snatcher 2, it has to be ZOE3. At least, that's what I'm hoping, unless they're just making a new amazing IP that would rival it. With mechs. And lasers. And no whiny brat kids.

I think if anyone from the Rising team is going to showcase... Rising, it'd be that Matsuyama guy. I mean, their presentation at last year's MS Press Conference was all about Kojima "passing the torch" to the rising (no pun intended) developers at the studio. So that provides Kojima the time to tend to his own agenda at E3.

(myself included) because it's one of the greatest gaming franchises ever created.
Anyone who played PS1 from '99 onwards will tell you that.

Below: Yeah, I'd love to see something new, but I would much rather have some new MGS than anything else.

Hopefully he'll at least bring us Rising soon, Peace Walker on PS3 and something else on PS4 in the future.

Yeah but that would eliminate the one main feature the 3DS has over the DS. After that you only have better graphics but they just match the PSP.

I disagree. There's a lot of functionality that the system still has without 3D. 3D is just a visual enhancement. Completely optional. You still get features like Spotpass, Streetpass, the ability to suspend gameplay, and the June 6th update will add eShop and Internet browsing(internet browse while a game is suspended)...also possibly netflix, which neither the ds nor psp have...

The system can handle better graphics then that of the psp (though not all developers are taking advantage, but just look at MGS3D, SSFIV, both Resident Evil games, and DoA:D. All look way better then any PSP game I've seen, even without the 3D on. Not saying that the PSP doesn't have impressive looking games on it, because it does, but 3DS is definitely an improvement)

Anyways, my main point is that 3D is just a visual option. An option that I enjoy both on my 3DS and PS3, but an option nonetheless. Both the PS3 and 3DS are great regardless of the 3D.

-No appearance at Microsoft's E3 event.
-No MGS4 port for NGP.
-No MGS5 announcement at E3
-No shirt, no shoes, no service.
-No Santa Claus
-No hope (after this announcement, he tossed himself off the highest mountain in all of Greece.)

-A MGS4 port to NGP is unnecessary because MGS4 Subsistence is being released on PS3.
-A MGS5 makes no chronological sense...Kojima's annoncing a prequel.

Kojima always teased us about his next project and he did it very well. He's definitely NOT going to confirm MGS5 in a podcast session, that wouldn't be teasing and not Kojima style. So since it was a Yes or No Q&A, he had to say No which was the right thing to do. I hope he does announce MGS5 though :P

David Jaffe denyed and said no to alot of things and look what he's done...surprise surprise for all of us playstation fans with all the announcements hes made. Twisted Metal ps3 is an example :)

plus would u give away a big announcement or surprise to just anyone, or do you wait till the mega event that is E3? I would wait till the time is right, just like David Jaffe did!

Its been re made before though for GameCube, and it looked fantastic even on that. If they are going to remake any, it has to be the original Metal Gears from the ... NSX I believe it was called?

-Subsistence would be nice aswell. Not sure if re-print is the right term. That game is so rare and expensive, unless that's just in the UK. I'm sure they did something similar with ZOE2

Theres so much that can be done... I know that now Snake is pretty much retired, but we can still play stuff from even before MGS3, like how when The Boss was in WW2 and she gave birth. Stuff like that.

The guy knows his money to be made is all in MGS. Why he works on anything else in life is beyond me. I started playing MGS1 Dec 26th 1998. I like so many other's in the world want nothing more then more MGS games. Like full story games!

Metal Gear is done. Where else could they possibly go with the story? If you guys think that Kojima has a genius mind then let him surprise you with something fresh and new.
