That game was so deep, you could play it for months before seeing everything the game had to offer. It had a fantastic soundtrack and some of the best surround sound ever in a video game. It was also the one game that would allow you to make your way up the mountain in 3 tiers and then finish it off by doing one huge run down all three tiers. That to me was one hell of a game.

Other than Kain, I don't wonder WTF happened to any of those games.

SSX forever, and I'm not even a skate-tricks game lover, but SSX was really cool and fun.

Legacy Of Kain was cool until it lasted.

ssx was a blast. still have em all. sadly they all crash everytime i play on my 80 gig fatty w/bc :-(

Although I'm starting to get sick of Hollywood rebooting old movies and TV series, I think gaming should steal a page out of their book and reboot some old game franchises.

I'm not talking about sequels, I'm talking about taking the original game/story and following the storyline buy changing/adding to the gameplay and updating the graphics.

I know a lot of people would hate on this, but there are so many games and franchises that a lot of people missed from back in the ps1/sega saturn/n64 days of early 3-d graphics that just don't translate well to present day and are almost unplayable.

For example, Legacy of Kain and the entire franchise, I for some reason or another never got around to playing the franchise, but everything I've read about it and the general idea of the gameplay seems awesome to me. Yet, I tried to boot up a couple of Soul Reaver and it's just hard to play after all the advances we've made in the industry gameplay and graphics wise. But if someone where to take that franchise, redo it using the same basic storyline but updating the controls, gameplay and graphics; I'm willing to bet it would be a hit. Plus all the people that missed the earlier games wouldn't feel utterly confused not knowing the story from the earlier games.

This whole idea is kinda selfish for me, because I hate to pick up games in the middle of the series, I just can't do it. I need to know how it all started and why things are the way they are.

Okay, rant over.

Aside from Legacy of Kain, Gex and Rayman, I didn't even known any of the others. Do not care for a Rayman sequel either, but a Legacy of Kain - sequel or remake - would make me feel like a kid on his b-day!

For me personally, i have to add:
Jak and Daxter series, went totally the wrong direction (for my taste)
Mortal Kombat series, lost ALL it's "charm". And a bad fighting engine

i played all the sly cooper games and i dont think they can expand on it. the franchise had a really good ending.

Yea! WTH happened to GEX? I remember playing it on the ps1 back in the day, awesome and fun game
