Just bring it!!!!

This news is exciting, considering they never offered "full bc" in any of their previous consoles. 360 did a great majority of OG but had some issues here and there. Then with XBO it was added after the fact, but a welcome addition none the less. Series has done a great job of supporting the XBO gen with both organic bc and tailored bc. that means some games naturally worked better because of the better hardware, while others had to be enabled to work better via that whole FPS boost program.

Hopefully, Microsoft goes all in

Its gonna have to offer a lot more than backwards compatibility or else it'll just be a repeat of the last 2 generations.

"Its gonna have to offer a lot more than backwards compatibility or else it'll just be a repeat of the last 2 generations."

My Xbox library + My Steam library + My Epic library + My Battlenet library + Gamepass + Sony exclusives + EA + Ubisoft.

PERFECT for me!

Didn't you say you're a console only gamer?
When and why did you build up a library on those storefronts?
And if access to all store fronts really gets you going, why haven't you already done so with a pc?
Seems like anything ms announces is perfect for you🤣

"Didn't you say you're a console only gamer?"

I AM a console only gamer (present).

I used to game on PC as well so having a library on those storefronts are nothing new since my purchased games won´t just disappear out the blue.

I just got tired of bad PC ports, and having to deal with drivers and tweaks and twists trying to improve my gaming experience on bad optimized games. Nowadays I just prefer the simplicity of console gaming.

Since Xbox next will give me access for most games from PC and Playstation with mod support, I have zero reasons to invest on a new PC or PS6 once my Xbox will run everything they have to offer.

Sony will be making BIG money out Xbox gamers though, since we´ll be paying for their games. Just not their console.

So yeah, Xbox next is perfect for me.

Ok that's fair lol, they all making money man, no doubt.

You mean like remakes and a over priced upgrade .

I’m just not that excited for “next gen” consoles. Gaming has officially hit the phone model market. Base release, pro release, sequel. And you can even argue that the sequel for some is just a pro release.

Switch 2 is a switch pro. Xbox next will be the Xbox pro(if you don’t already consider the X as the pro since the s is the dominate on their market share).

I am pretty sure I can wait until ps6 pro at this point because my ps5 pro and base will play everything they will get with the exception of 1 or 2 games in the first year.

Day 1 for me, 22 years with xbox and besides the 360 debacle, never let me down, also saved tons of money.

First time I probably won't be Day 1....I don't really understand.

Every time one of these “well, obviously” statements pops up like in article form, I wonder who it’s even for. Then I check the comments and remember, console players, proudly lost in the settings menu, still trying to figure out what HDR is.

And suddenly, those "articles" make perfect sense

Oo writing them for him and his alts

Obscure_Observer5d ago

I know you´re disappointed. But rest easy. The console war is over!

You gonna get to play Xbox games on your PS6 while I´m gonna get to play Playstation games on my Xbox next!

It´s a win win scenario.

Who hasn't figured out hdmi at this point though guessing g your just wave g the pc flag despite pc monitors only really having hdr as a standard for what 5 years

I had to buy a Samsung odyssey to make sure I got the all the niceties and hdr is still behind modern TV's

andy856d ago

Dunno about anyone else but I've been tinkering with HDR on my console for close to 10 years.

"Players can now hide system apps, pin favorites to the list, and reduce the number of tiles displayed. This update is part of our ongoing effort to make Home more personal, flexible, and responsive to feedback."

This is welcomed, i like a less cluttered home screen.

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny review - Design of the Times | TechStomper

"Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny feels stuck between 2025 and 2002. Not quite enough of the past to be pure nostalgia, and not enough of the present to feel fresh."
