Every time we've gotten to play Avowed, we come away even more impressed. That happened again this time, as we took sadistic delight in being as evil as we could possibly be in this first-person fantasy RPG.
The Morrowind gag is, blessedly, still in the game in a different form.
Matt Owen from Super Gamesite 64 says..."While all are serviceable, some are better than others. Make sure you pick the best companions in Avowed for the job."
Matt Owen from Super Gamesite 64 says... "It may not challenge genre tropes or flip the script on common gameplay mechanics, but Avowed is still an excellent RPG."
I forgot about this game after it was revealed to be 30 fps. That revelation killed all the hype and interest I had in this game.
This is one of those games where I put trust in the team and the game looks fun and they're known for story and fun. Haven't decided on PC or Series X. Will wait for DF review on that. Might have to plug my Series X back in.
Side note: Why are devs so pushy on NPCs helping us with quests? Absolutely needs to become a standard to turn that off completely, IMHO.
Hype INTENSIFIES!!!
February is so packed with great games and RPGs that it´s gonna be impossible to keep up with all!
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Assassin's Creed Shadows
Avowed
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
Monster Hunter Wilds
The animation looks rough in parts, but it might be the new Skyrim everyone has been wanting. I might check it out after the multiplatform release.
Definitely my most anticipated at the moment, now that STALKER 2 is out. Love the Pillars universe and have been a fan of almost everything Obsidian has put out over the years. The game looks better and better every time they show it.
