Whatever those execs wanted them to do, they definitely did not want to do it.

porkChop251d ago

The devs wanted to spin Annapurna Interactive into an independent entity and Megan Ellison basically walked away from the discussion. So the devs left instead.

I know. I was just expressing how much they rejected it. There's nothing more they could have said to say 'no' other than possibly bringing some slushies, throwing them at the people involved, and then quitting.

They literally just signed a deal with Remedy to help with the development costs of Control 2 ...

Neonridr250d ago (Edited 250d ago )

no, that is Annapurna Pictures, the parent company. Annapurna Pictures will co-produce and co-finance Control 2, and will also develop film and television projects involving Remedy's Alan Wake and Control.

Literally just an empty office building, and an idea. Ya know it used to be that people with a passion and few friends started making games and eventually started a company themselves. Maybe it's time the industry goes back to building things off of passion and leave the suits with their ideas and office buildings behind.

While i appreciate the gesture.... all of these retro classics have been made available everywhere else. I am hoping to see some other Activision properties make their way out of the shackles of the 5th, 6th and 7th gen. Licensing be damned... bring back the Transformers Cybertron games.

Love the Cybertron games! TF games have been shit lately. Would love to see that era revisited. I even did the multiplayer!
