T2 use to be good publishers now they're just trash filled with greed of Micros

I'm more worried they are going to expand on the multiple character thing in the main game...I didn't like it in GTAV

John Marstons story wouldn't have been as personal, epic and moving in the end if you could switch characters.

No matter how successful GTA V has been, rockstar have always been a single player story driven studio. Most of their games have multiplayer, but their core has always been single player story. I fully expect to have the best of both worlds when it comes to red dead redemption 2, but I'm finishing the single player story before I even attempt online (they might do like gta v and release the online components a few weeks after the fact)

If I were rockstar I would just be sitting back, relaxing and chuckling at the unstoppable sales of GTA 5. Why the hell would they be worried about their reputation or putting out another game when they have a LAST GEN game that continues to outsell new games and has outsold every current gen game? Gamers only have themselves to blame, rockstar is just making brilliant business moves.

I'm not worried about that since, apart from the additional DLC we were promised, GTA V's campaign was pretty safe from online.

What I AM worried about IS the online.

After the story, the online will be an endgame of sorts for me, and I hope it doesn't turn out like today's GTA online where you need money to do anything. GTA online was amazing at first but once they found out how much money they can make off of it, it went downhill.

I don't mind paying for additional content at all, however I feel like GTA online is manipulative in ways (making people pay for ammo to shoot that asshole that wont stop, removing passive mode for CEO's, making the mission for new heists in public matches only, FORCING you to buy the bunkers, etc etc) and it really took away from the game for me.

Hopefully Red Dead remains humble and continues to grow in a content manner, rather than a manipulative one. I'd like more stuff to do that makes me keep coming back and BUILDS VALUE, then I wouldn't mind paying extra for things if they were interesting enough.

One of the driving forces behind the success of the last few games (including the initial offering of BTA V online) is no longer part of Rockstar. He was managed out as the two founders got GREEDY as all get out. He was a driving force in course correcting the first RDR, and now has been totally absent from this title. I also believe this is the reason why we have not seen any single player DLC.

It won't be safe from me devoting many hours or my life to it :)

I'm not into the Red Dead Redemption games what so ever but I'm surprised R* has only this game that some folks are looking forward to this generation.

I understand Rockstars contentment with sitting back and raking in all the money but I don't respect it. I've little doubt RDR will be great but the lack of activity on their part because of how goddamn rich they're getting is disappointing.

They're keeping awfully quiet, wonder if the MP had to be overhauled to compensate for the battle-royale craze? Not too happy about it to be honest, I guess we'll see

wtf, the single player mode is absolutely worth experiencing and anyone locked to the Switch (can’t even imagine that being a reality) should get a chance to experience that game, despite the exemption of Online… which come to think of it, why would that even be a scenario?

It’s not going to have the online part, because Rockstar already abandoned the Red Dead Online to focus on GTA 6.

Red dead online is a dead mode

I wouldn't be worried about the dead online component of the game. Don't get me wrong this was a day 1, but on the Switch 2, it's a blurry 15 year old game sold at full price. This would worry me the most.
