Yeah the servers have been great. No noticeable lag or games dropping. Wayyyyy better than Battlefield 4.

Bf4 was not ruined by MT. Only whales that never played the game but said shortcuts allow them to play with unlocks since they have no time to unlock them were idiots. If you have no time to play then why buy something you're hardly going to use?

I agree that this is bad but BF4 when launched, you could not play online what so ever for a week or two and you could not play the campaign because your save file kept getting corrupted constantly and the game crashed all the time. It was absolutely 100% unplayable at launch. At least you can play BF2.......but that's not saying much.

Technical issues are a lot different.

EA did the MT's on purpose, you cant really predict network stability.

And the MT in BF4 were meaningless.

That's a very different debate...I completely agree with you, but you very much can 'predict network stability'...it's just getting the network ready for BF4's launch was expensive, so they didn't do it...EA's been doing that for years, and i'm kind of blown away that BF4's release didn't net a similar push back as battlefront II has...just for different reasons.

All i mean is DICE and EA weren't sitting around in late 2013 saying 'I really can't believe this has so many problems' stability wise...Important people knew months before release that it was going to be on fire, and they released it anyway.

Yesterday jumping in a match my cards were gone. Came back to main menu then started a new match they were back.
There were many server lag I believe. Now all is working fine

Would think any disagrees would have more to do with any kind of defense of MTs which doesn't actually translate into liking the game said MTs have been attached to.

On a side note wonder if this may cost EA the SW license. If Disney will pull it. That would send the ultimate message - if not for the fact it Activision would get it next.

I think the game could easily work if they straight remove loot crates which are not needed for progression. Hopefully the gambling bad publicity can push that.

Yes, they lowered Hero cost and removed MT's...at least for now it made things better.

First off, those were not patches. Second, they were done because of us not you! Remember, you strongly opposed those changes. You are pro microtransactions and pro EA. You would have been perfectly content with the game as it was originally released.

When did I ever say I didn't want lower hero costs? Also, yes, I don't really care if MT's were there or not, but I never said "darn i wish Hero costs were raised back up to 75%". I also still don't like that they have an hourly cap in arcade...

You are right, you never used those exact words. You just actively opposed the people who wanted these changes and more every chance you got. You called people whiny constantly and defended MT's none stop.

And no, it's not just SWBF2, it's also CoDWW2 and other games as well. People have started noticing this years ago but SWBF2 just went to many steps too far with this. You know what they done yet you keep defending this. If you are a true gamer, I really don't understand you as this will benefit you as well. But I don't think you are, I think you are hired by EA. I wonder how many forums you need to be working on each day to try and downplay this issue and belittle people who bring this up.

So first I am an Xbot because I'm not a big fan of ND and now I'm on EA's payroll because I don't agree with you guys. Ooookay pal. I made this account a while back, but I have been a sleeper agent for EA this entire time. If you actually read my comments at no point am I ever PRAISING EA or saying they are right to do what they are doing. Most of my comments simply state facts from my experience of the game. Your problem is that youre so bent on trying to tell peoole how to play their entertainment or what to do with their money... how about you F off. Also, if I was an EA employee why would I be on n4g where none of you even made an impact at all anyway? I'd be on Reddit and actual site articles doing this where it actually matters. I certainly wouldn't be wasting so much time talking with some dip shits like you on a website that has literally done nothing for the cause because your voices aren't heard on these chats. All are fine. Those who had issues with their heroes getting locked and weapons unavailable are no longer having issues. As what OB1Biker said, it might be due to server lag or delays, at the time of this writing, I just played BF2 a few minutes ago and my cards and heroes were there.

You know, I've been questioning this for a while now, but...
If EA is so obsessed over real-money items in their games, why don't they just make a few FTP MMO's and make their MTX cash off of the saps that would buy costumes and other crap in those?
That way they could leave stuff like Battlefront out of the MTX loop, and please investors AND core fans of their franchises all at the same time.
It sounds better than trying to mix the two, then trying and failing to find a balance that doesn't leave both sides nipping at their wallets until their funds have no way of settling in without falling out...

They will never create an MMO. An MMO game need long support and that is not EA’s style. EA just latches on to anything that is popular and then move on quickly to another fad after they leech the life out of it. They usually never support any games for long, as can be seen by their yearly sport games.

Because attaching these things to regular games is practically free for them to do. All they need to do is structure the store around it so they can deliver the content.

Since it doesn't cost them anything, and they can make more money off the game because of it, they continue to do it.

An MMO requires quite a bit of work to make, much less support indefinitely.

Was gonna buy this game Day 1 full price because of the promised post-launch DLC support, which would keep the community together, but with a launch like this, I doubt there will be any community left to enjoy the game with after 3-4 months of this BS.

Might be better off finally picking up Battlefield 1 including the Season Pass for 30 euro total, and hoping after a few weeks/months they'll release all the DLC for free for those with only the base-game, like they did with Hardline and BF4.

This was day 1 for me too but haven't bought either. I'd still consider getting it as I'm a huge Star Wars fan and the game does actually look good, but EA will have to overhaul progression/unlocks and completely drop mt's altogether before I'd even consider getting it. I'd imagine if they did do that, a lot of people might actually get it. I can't see EA doing that though unfortunately.

All of my Star Cards and unlocks were 'missing' post patch. A quick restart of the game did not fix. A quick restart of the PS4 ... did. Not a good feeling when all that pride and accomplishment is taken away in the blink of an eye. That said getting into a match now take longer. Rubber banding is still an issue (unless blasters can now should straight through solid objects now). All in all the patch did make things worse. Also noted that blaster bolts appear to have been removed or limited. The CR2 now appears to only be firing tracer bolts every fifth shot or so. Seems like they tweaked something.

They are pissed about the shit they are getting for their attempt to add lootcrates as well as the legal issues Belgium and Hawaii are trying to tie to their game in reference to their greedy practices. This is a sign of them being upset and trying to ruin the experience imo.....a bitch move by EA.

SW BF2 game is great, no issue with MT because I never bother with them.

The patch may have caused an issue and I'm sure it's not the first gamer to have a duff patch.

Everybody chill out and relax Whats the point, either buy the game or don't, use MT's or don't.
