Richard Bailey Jr. Of The Koalition writes: 2017 is without a doubt one of the best years for gamers and game releases so far this generation. By the time everything is said and done, October will be remembered as the key month that played a pivotal role in this fact. Blockbuster titles like Super Mario Odyssey, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Assassin’s Creed Origins and more will all be talked about heavily among gamers as the year comes to a close. The following is a quick list of ten upcoming October titles that are worth both your time and money.
Super Mario Odyssey gets a major technical update for Nintendo Switch 2, featuring upscaled 4K resolution, improved visuals, and stable 60 FPS performance.
nice improvement to the clarity. Really makes everything look less blurry, especially in the distance.
really hope we see more free improvements like this on Switch 1 games.
A nice resolution upgrade to one of my fav games but i’m still not buying the Switch “2”
This and Mario/Bowser are ones I will pop in later. I hope other devs offer some patches, like xenon racer on SW1 is 30fps and it really is better at 60.
Great it was 60 frames on switch 1 though. Definitely sacrificed resolution however.
I’ll never know why fans let Nintendo get away with not competing graphically and never putting their games on sale.
It took going back to a much older game to realise just how empty Assassin's Creed Shadows feels.
"I've never thought feudal Japan would be a good Assassin's Creed setting. Give me 1960s southern England with mods and rockers."
Aaaaaaand that's where I stopped reading.
And shadows reminds me of something origins is lacking. Virtually every game is lacking something. It is because it is lacking, that it has what it isnt. Funny dichotomy that…
Origins is a beautiful game made by talented people that got turned into a brutal level-gate fest by the CEOs.
There are only a few Assassin's Creed games I played. Original, The Ezio Collection, and what I think is probably the best in the series Assassin's Creed Odyssey with the DLC. I'm done with the series, it's the same shit.
Ex-Warner Bros. executive reveals that the Nemesis system was designed to create a compelling game that would stick with gamers.
Harry potter could be a great game to use it. The students and the enemies could each have their own seperate tree.
Warner bros is so full of it. Usually corporations cry about piracy but this was simply due to the second hand market and they don’t t like that.
It was a neat idea, but the game is packed with a lot of repetitive filler grindy stuff, clearly designed to make the game last longer. The sequel went overboard, with the filler as well, in order to nudge players towards micro-trash-actions, which were eventually dropped.
October is without a doubt the single best month for game releases this year and 2017 has been a great year for this generation. Several awesome titles to choose from all geared towards different audiences. It will be hard to find someone who would disagree about this being a strong month for releases.
I'm ready to fight someone for Mario. I can't wait for that game, it looks so good.
I'm only one think that bethesda not quite promote/marketing Evil Within 2 ?
i mean game release in next two week but beside fan people didn't hype much.
For me, it's only 2 games I'm getting next month. Battle Chasers on PS4 and Raiden V CE on PS4. I am interested in Mario and FE Warriors but not until I own the console.
Such a great variety. I will be getting battlechasers, evil within 2, wolfenstein 2, South Park fbw, AC origins, shadows of war and mario odyssey. Some at launch and some in the future but it's a great month regardless.
