indeed NiOh must be good ..i ll pass Horizon for now but NiOH is day 1 ..i wonder the one who gave the 8 what negatives he found to justify the score...

I'm getting both. Because Horizon Zero Dawn is completely new IP for GG and I will fully support them to improve the game even further. And Nioh, it's a game that remind me the good old days,

Ill do otherwise. Buy horizon and wait for nioh. For me nioh is too hard . I was never attracted to dark souls difficulty type games. But I know there are people for which this is important. Firstly I don't have time for playing hard games. I can even write that I don't mind if game is max 1 hours but has exceptional story. That's the same reason I like mini series more than huge ones on tv.

The start of this year is crazy. I haven't even bought The Last Guardian yet and already there are Resident Evil 7 and Yakuza 0 which I'm interessted in with Horizon and Nioh around the corner.

Same here, i havent get The last guardian, and I still miss resident evil and tales of berseria,Yakuza 0 and others, I just get Digimon World in 40$ from ebay, and then I will get Horizon, Nioh will have to wait a little too, my wallet :(

I am definitely interested in both. Specifically with Nioh I know it may be difficult for some but the loot might help even if it's a little. I think the menu system looks so unique and colors are very artistic. Looks beautiful. And I want Horizon Zero Dawn to be very successful so if sequels are in the works they'll get the extra polish on story, graphics and gameplay just love the Uncharted Series gets.

there ain't nothing wrong with an 8 score. if that ends up being the lowest score overall, that's a pretty good sign for this game, i think.

8 is still a good score and have no doubt Nioh deserves the scores.

As for getting more info on famitsu reviews, good luck. Each review is basically one simple paragraph without substance. I remember when they scored Umbrella Corps an 8 all round, would love for a more in depth review from them on how they justified that mess as an 8.

Famitsu is a giant ad for publishers. The reviews are so minimal and short that it doesn't matter. Capcom, Square, Nintendo, Konami run massive multiple page ads for their games so most game will be reviewed favorably. I have no doubt many games deserve good scores, I just take famitsu's with a grain of salt.

Me too. I already pre order NiOH but I'm going to wait for horizon. Hunting robot dinosaurs does not gets my attention. Maybe later at a discount.

lol sony attack force is so funny, you still support ps4 by buying NIOH, but because you wrote that you will pass on Horizon you got 3 times more thumbs down.....so funny to me and I bet these same people who down vote you probably wont pick up Horizon, sony 1st party games do not sell as well as other companies, if the last of us ps4 remaster did not get bundle, or given away on groupon for 5 to 10 dollars a year or two ago, the sales would of never reach what it did, or when sony add up the sales of all the uncharted to make it seem like it sell as good as call of duty, but mario kart Wii alone before it got bundle outsold the whole uncharted series by itself.......my point is.....I bet all the people who gave you all these down votes will not support the game the way they be supporting other third party developers, but let me see them prove me wrong

I am definitely getting Nioh, day one. Torment: Tides of Numenera & Styx: Shards of Darkness are coming out in a few months, also. Looks like 2017's gonna be busy.

Yes, I think Nioh will be the best Action-RPG in 2017.

Yup, I hope it gets enough exposure. Bit worried people won't notice it, even though it's awesome.

Every souls/onimusha fan should be picking this up! Probably will be the only game I pick up this first quarter of 2017.

It may be another niche game, but it should definitely score well. May not get the huge sales like some of the other exclusives, but it won't be because it not a good game. We'll see what other reviewers have to say. I'm getting it no matter what. Already have it preordered.

I've been saying this for a while. NioH is a sleeper, do not be surprise if this game hits the high 80's maybe even low 90's on Metacritic.

The Nioh Demos themselves alone have more content than some of the western AAA games we are getting nowadays.
It certainly deserves some attention.

I have good and bad news for you, bad news first you will be the angriest person ever, Horizon do not look good with all the stuff they showed lately, it just look good that is all, I personally would wait for the price drop which probably come quickly and get it for 20 to 30 where you do not feel so bad that you contributed to mediocre game. The other bad news ps4 pro not much of a needed upgrade if you already had a ps4, you still get the same frame rate that the original ps4 play with and no 4k bluray player so you cannot enjoy your tv beautiful 4k screen. There are some 4k movies on netflix like 12 to 16 movies, the stream is noticeable different from 1080p, but with a real 4k bluray all you will say is damnnnnnn this look good. I forgot to tell you Netflix charge more for 4k, so once you pick the most expensive option, Netflix will start to show you 4k content, until then everything you watch is in 1080p.

The good news, you do not have to look for another tv for a while unless it breaks down. You also can take your time getting a good 4k bluray drive since you already got your tv, everything else to set up your entertainment section can be taken one day at a time now or wait for xbox scorpio unless microsoft plan to be cheap and remove it and follow sony and put a 1080p bluray player to save cost. Other good news 4k is beautiful, once you go 4k, you cannot go back and although the ps4 pro games not native 4k, it do not look bad upscaled so if you big on graphics this will fit under good news.

You sound like a liar. "This game better be good. I'll be furious". WTF are you talking about? Are you a gamer? You know the drill. It's been like this for decades. You buy a console to play games. All future games will be getting upgrades to PRO. You're future proofing yourself. If you're scared and worried then cancel your order.

I've got a pro and it's friggin awesome. I've got a massive 4k TV and it's friggin' AWESOME. You can stream very high quality video. You can get a cheap PC that will play all 4k content and make everything look better any way. HDR is a game changer. MAke sure your TV got HDR

EDIT - OH YEAH, don't bother with 4k UHD disc player at all. There is no point. Blu-Ray look just as good. TRUST ME, buying any 4k UHD disc is an absolute waste of money. I have unlimited high speed internet bandwidth, and I collect digital movies, and I STILL don't down massive 4k movies, there just isn't that much difference.

4k UHD movie discs will die.

even if 4k disc die, you are lying that its not a big difference vs 4k streaming, I have unlimted high speed too and I can see the difference between 1080p streaming vs 4k streaming, but saying 4k streaming is not a big difference to 4k bluray is just a big lie........now if you said I can get by not seeing full 4k quality then I would believe you because I feel lazy to put disc in so I agree with you on getting digital over disc at times.......but never lie and say there is not much difference between 4k streaming and 4k bluray......if you do not see the difference then get your eye check

I have a lot of hope for Nioh. It looks to combine the gameplay of Dark Souls with the setting of a darker Onimusha and that excites me to no end. For those looking for a fun action game, definitely look into the first Onimusha. It's on OG Xbox and PS2!

I hope its as good as it seems.. DS style game in japan.. I just hate buying games i dont even get around to until i see a good 50% price drop.. Still working on Shanae 1/2 genie hero, FF15, and Gravity Rush 2.. I hate mixing games... I prefer completing them 1 at a time..
