John Carmack, founder of id Software and CTO of Oculus, challenges fellow VR developers to put more effort into each game so that VR isn't just a "novelty system." His comments, along with a personal take on the topic of VR, can be read in the full article.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has set a new record by selling over 3 million units within 24 hours, tripling the PlayStation 4’s previous launch day sales.
Its crazy that it's both the highest selling console on day 1 and people can walk into a store and buy it with no pre order
Unlike the Switch 2 , the Playstation 4 was not sold on the same day in most regions.
Do not miss the Final Fantasy IX lottery commemorating its 25th anniversary and see the new merch release by Square Enix.
I’m hoping Xbox Showcase will be where the Remake gets announced… freaking all this stuff with FF9’s anniversary and still nothing on the Remake…
Epic Games Store general manager Mike Allison explains that the PC marketplace is going to be massively improved very soon.
I reeeeally want to get a VR system, (Vive) but yeah. Most games just feel like tech demos and honestly, it's more fun to watch others play it. However with that said, I think the VR system itself needs improvements. The major thing is to cut the wires and solve the problem of movement. This whole warping thing just doesn't really do it for me. It feels very much like 3 steps back.
As Ive been saying all we have seen are the same kind of "games" that were around when VR came around the first time in the 90's. Mech, racing, underwater, space and things like hang gliding etc etc. Nothing wrongeith those but as actual games they pretty much suck. Ill wait another year before I consider picking up PsVr.
VR is not the future of gaming. It will find other uses for the mainstream, but not gaming.
who the hell approved this. wheres the summary for it?
