Gaming publishers don't even care about their consumers anymore, they only care for their ego.

The issue appears to be that contact is incorrectly assumed to be a chargeback, which could really be an issue with either Amazon or EA.

It's only logical that EA would disable your game key once you get a refund. This sounds much more like miss communication than a deliberate act of evil.

What I think is the much more important issue here is how the customer, who is deaf, was treated by the online support person. 'Find someone to call on your behalf' is not acceptable. A good CSR would have found a way to help this customer over chat.

Haven't purchased anything from EA since Mass Effect 3 and probably should have skipped it too.

EA, you wonder why your hated, surely you must read/hear what websites and consumers say, but you continue to dig your hole .. whats next banned people that talks smack about you over the net ? people bought your crap they have a right to complain or ask for a refund....

I've followed this mess from the beginning, and heard about how bad EA is in the past. But this is a new low. So low in fact that I won't buy another EA game new again. I'll buy used. I don't make these sorts of threats very often because I know I'll usually change my mind. But this is unacceptable. Any company that works with EA will lose my money, as will EA.

I wish DICE wasn't working for EA. I love Battlefield games, but I hate to give EA my hard-earned cash. I haven't bought any other EA game for so long, precisely because of their shoddy business practices.

I was thinking about picking up Simcity once the Server issues had been resolved(Ha) but I just can't support this company.

I looooove the BF series but these actions by EA are making me a bit cautious about my next purchase from this publisher.

I think people should take action against this.

In the article it says Amazon asked EA for a chargeback. That means maybe Amazon asked EA for a refund on all Simcity licenses. I'd be interested to know if that is true?

This is EA. Nothing they do will ever surprise me.

Don't buy Battlefield 4 and send a message to EA. Who am I kidding, it'll sell Millions and EA will sit back and sigh "yeah gamers still love us". Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I've been burned by EA myself and hearing about this with Sim City that EA hasn't improved even a tiny bit better will make BF4 a hard buy for me.
