I think the Dreamcast would actually be able to take the Wii on if it were still active. It was actually one of the rare innovative systems!! Wii and Dreamcast are about the same lol

I was about to buy a Dreamcast @ the Mexican Border for $99.00 just for Old times sake but my bettr half nixed that...I loved the dreamcast..I a very disspointed with its failure....Money is power look at Sony, Nintendo, and now M$...If Sega had the Loot they may be a Dreamcast II or III competeing with the big three...

Sega got so scared when the PS2 was announced that they stopped supporting it. "This is madness!" No.. This is SONY!

I liked the Dreamcast just fine,it's just not my favorite console of all time.

The Dreamcast was F'in awesome. It was innovative, it had alot of awesome games from SEGA, good deal of exclusives. Online multiplayer was sweet, it had a browser. Sega listened to its fans, thats what i loved about them. I remember when the Saturn came it had a questionare about what consumers would want in the next system. But, Sega killed themselves when they launched Dreamcast early when the Sega saturn had just came out. But everything the Wii is doing now... feels as if it is a Sega system. I mean they have tons of SEGA games, but it makes me love the Wii even more it feels close to home.

Dreamcast was a great system, but at the time I had the PS2 modded already and was only paying $7 per game. Rentals were expensive back then, no gamefly.com :(

I owned a Dreamcast and it was fun, until it started to become hard for me to find games that I liked for it. I played all the Sonic games, Powerstones, Blue Stinger, NFL 2k1, also some more but not many more that I can remember.

But I loved the console! It had all the goods, it was just finding the games for it I dont know why. The memory card for it was awesome also.

It's funny how many dreamcast fans are out there now!....and it's more funny listen to you guys...If you love so much this console as you said, how could you let it die, like you did?? You could saved it....dreamcast was a failure because of you false fans and lovers...you loved the console now, but in the time, you never talked about it...you are a bunch of hipocrits!!!!

The Dreamcast was basically before it's time. What a great system! I was lucky enough to own the black sports edition. Quake 3 with mouse and keyboard support FTW!

Man, if this were to come out now.. I am sure there would be a Wii/Dreamcast battle..... Sega backed out too soon. They would had made it. It pisses me off that this giant at one time was killed off by Sony.... cuz LOL gamecube was nothing. compared to the dreamcast...

This is a great idea for the Wii. Graphically, there is a strong comparison between Dreamcast games and Wii games.

Give me SPEED DEVILS! That game was one of the best arcade style racing games ever. Loved that game...so many good memories!

well thats your oppinion, and my oppinion is that maybe you havent played many because there are sooo many greater rpgs out there, even on the ps1 while that was released

DC was the greatest console ever made. Best games, handsdown. So many PlayStation fanboys are threatened by that fact. Just because PS2 sold more does NOT mean it was better in any way, shape, or form. (and before u n00bs say something, yes I own a ps2. duh)

Dreamcast in my opinion was far better a machine than the PS2. It had way better games for one. If anyone remembers the PS2 lineup, it sucked bad especially compared to the Dreamcast. Even the graphics were inferior,but you bought into it. Why I ask? hype. I guess sony has never had good luck when it comes to launching a system. I have a PS3 and had both PS1 and a PS2. I will tell you this, i have been playing games since the late 70s and have seen systems come and go. I think that the PS2 was so overly hyped that no system no matter how much better it was at that time would have had a chance. The dreamcast was better and will always be, the PS2 had a dvd drive. Big deal, i want games not movies. Now look once again Sony is doing the same thing with including a Blueray drive for the PS3. This is there strategy and their name of course does help. When it comes down to it look at all the sheep that went out and bought a PS3 at launch, for what? The hype? because you gotta admit there was absolutely no reason to rush out and get one. I waited till last month to get mine and have 2 games for it, thats it. There really are no games that i cant get already on the 360,whats the point? Compared to my dreamcast library and 360, lol. I wont even go there. There are too many sheep in this world already, so continue to fool yourself and continue to get in line kids. The real gamers and connoisseurs of video games like myself know the truth. Just look at music, people buy into hype these days and NOT talent. What ashame. Anyone that disagrees is a moron!
