Amid all the drama and controversy surrounding the latest patch, disgruntled players received an unexpected opportunity to sit back and enjoy some leaks of future content. It seems that Sony accidentally leaked an unknown Booster yet to be seen in Helldivers 2.
Sony Leaked Unreleased Content by Accident
One eagle-eyed player, p_visual, was browsing the Sony store when they stumbled upon something completely unexpected. There was an unfamiliar Booster in the middle of the third row of a sticker pack. A four-leaf clover, as luck would have it. The OP added: “I honestly got no idea. The only luck-based thing we have in this game is Democracy Protects and that has a very different logo”.
As you might have expected, this leak gave the Helldivers an opportunity to lean into their creative sides and share their best ideas. Some players, still salty because of the recent nerfs, offered some cynical possibilities. ToasterRoasterx noted: “You have a 99% chance your favorite weapon gets nerfed instead of 100%. Super op actually it’s gonna become new meta and get nerfed”.
Helldivers 2 Players Share Their Wishes for the Booster
Other Helldivers 2 players weren’t as harsh when they tried to come up with ideas on what the Booster that Sony had leaked did. One player, TheWrong-1, suggested it was something the players had wanted for a while. They noted: “I always kept thinking of a booster giving you a complete random 5th Stratagem. I hope that’s it”.
The player added: “Or it could be something about dying chance”. Another player, piracydilemma, agreed on the idea of dying chances and added a couple more. They stated: “A luck mechanic that alters things like odds of dying to lethal damage (democracy protects). A chance to one-shot enemies anywhere you can damage them. Extra req/sample/credit pickups, chance to ragdoll, chance to get extra ammo from boxes would be pretty cool.”
Many players upvoted another suggestion. Smart-Citron-5726 wished: “Probably looting related? Would be my guess”. Although that would be amazing, mr_D4RK explained why you shouldn’t get your hopes up. They said: “First, because it would make it almost 100% pick as it would be the only booster that would cut time from SC grind for new passes, and second, they already try to cut down the amount of POIs, making gathering SC less effective”.
We’d say hopefully finding this 4-leaf clover turned the Helldivers’ luck around. If they manage to complete the Major Order and defend Curia, we’ll know for sure. See you out there, diver, for Super Earth.
